About the project
Japara Healthcare is one of Australia’s largest private sector enterprises in the health care and retirement industry. Their Noosa Care facility in Tewantin is set amongst a lush and tropical landscape and offers privacy, tranquility and flexibility. Recent refurbishments have added even more private rooms, along with shared rooms and a communal living area.
The Austratus Difference
Builder Joshua Clunas was searching for ease of installation, quality product and competitive pricing to make the fitout of the refurbished Noosa Care facility stand out from the rest. After a quick Google search he found it… The Austratus fin profile in Western Red Cedar was the perfect solution for the reception room feature ceiling, partition and wall.
Joshua said, “Once the product was understood by those on site, the workflow was fast – a benefit where there’s tight time frames and resources”.
The patent pending clip-on system helped overcome some of the challenges the builder has experienced previously with timber ceilings and walls – fixings that aren’t concealed properly, spacing mistakes and a time-consuming process.
The end result is a high-quality finish that looks stunning next to the other features of the fitout and blends seamlessly into the tropical surroundings. The owner is extremely happy with the result.
The Austratus Fin Profile is your choice for achieving extra depth and dimension. The classic square shape adds dynamic shadows to your space and allows your creative flair to truly stand out. Use curved or straight, you can create interest any way you choose. And of course, natural timber is a high performer when it comes to acoustic absorption – perfect for busy and private spaces.
Testimonial from Builder:
"When we first made contact with Hamish, we were told that this was a
relatively new branch of the company. Because of the fantastic
product and potential we saw, we took the chance and used it on our
project. Given that everything was relatively new for both Austratus
and our company there were a few little hiccups, but Hamish and
Brodie went out of their way to rectify any issues immediately resulting
in a finished project delivered on time, on budget and most importantly
exceeding the customers’ expectations. With these learnings behind
us, we look forward to the next project where Austratus can be utilised
